SUMMER FOOD & FELLOWSHIP: Starting Sunday, June 1st everyone is welcome to enjoy food together after the worship service on Sundays. The Food Fellowship Support Team (formally Inreach) will be serving on June 1st and June 8th. There will be a chance for all to volunteer to share on Sunday, June 15th.
JOINT COUNCIL & TEAM LEADERS QUARTERLY MEETING IS TUESDAY, JUNE 3RD AT 6:30PM IN THE LIBRARY.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: This summer June 9th-13th from 9:00am – 12:00noon, children can come discover how they can trust Jesus in a wild world.
VBS PREP WEEK: Volunteers needed June 2nd – 5th, 10:00am – 2:00pm in the Sunday School Room downstairs to help prepare for VBS by cutting out décor, crafts, etc.
CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRY: are sponsoring an All-Church Bethel Night at the Vibes on Friday, June 20th at 6:30pm. Adults are $15, Kids are $10 and that includes the ticket, full buffet and parking (regular price is $30 adult/$20 kids under 18). Address for the stadium is 4385 Tutt Blvd, 80922.
BREAD OF LIFE DEVOTIONALS: The June, July & August devotionals are available in the Narthex.
GROUPS & BIBLE STUDIES
(all group information is added the first weekend of the month, only groups with event dates coming soon are added in the following weeks)
BETHEL BOOK CLUB: We will meet on Thursday, June 19th at 1:00pm in the Library. The book we are reading is “Running with Sherman – The Donkey with the Heart of a Hero” by Christopher McDougall.
BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP: This is a city-wide women’s bible class that meets here at Bethel at 6:45pm on Monday nights. They are taking the summer off and will be back in September.
BUNCO: This is a game of dice and fellowship. We meet on the first Friday of the month at 7:00pm in the Narthex area.
COLLEGE KIDS’ MAILINGS: is taking the summer off and will start back up in September.
COMFORT MAKERS: Bethel’s quilting group meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday of each month from 9:00am – noon in the Christ Center. Throughout the year they create quilts to donate to Lutheran World Relief and the quilts are used around the world for those who are in need.
CONNECTIONS GROUP: This group is taking the summer off until September.
DINING OUT GROUP—Bethel's Dining Out group meets on the 4th Monday of the month.
GIFTS FROM THE HEART: We enjoy sharing the love of Christ with others by preparing and donating gifts. Our gift-giving includes specially prepared baby gifts for newborns at Bethel, recycling stuffed animals for foster children, three different types of gift bags handed out to the homeless, meals for shut-ins or families in distress, and household goods for displaced veterans.
GIRL SCOUTS: We meet every other Thursday at 6:00pm in the Youth Room.
HAND AND FOOT CARD PLAYERS: We meet the first Thursday of the month in the New Creation room from 9:00am – 12:00noon.
MEN’S CHALLENGE GROUP: Men, do you want the abundance God came to give you? Do you want joy and peace AND to advance His kingdom? Then come join us. Hear God lead you. Glorify Him. We meet at 11:00am on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at Bethel.
MEN’S MINISTRY BREAKFAST: We meet once a month at 7:45am in the Christ Center. Contact Pastor Dan for more information.
MEN’S UP AND ADAM: This men’s group meets at Bethel for Bible Study every Wednesday morning at 6:30am.
MERCY’S GATE THURSDAY LUNCH GROUP: This group is one of Bethel’s Outreach Ministries that will provide breakfast and lunch for Mercy’s Gate clients on the last Thursday of each month. This ministry began in 2018 and continues today.
MICROBREW CREW: This adult group meets monthly at a local microbrewery.
PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP: This group is for folks interested in photography from novice to experienced.
RUTH BIBLE STUDY: meets over the summer once a month – the second Tuesday of June, July and August. We are studying a book by Lydia Brownback – “1-2 Peter Living Hope in a Hard World”. We start meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays again in September. We would love to have you join us!
SENIOR GROUP POTLUCK: Friday, June 20th 12:00pm in the Christ Center. The theme is “Sports”, wear your favorite team hat, shirt or jersey.
NEW STEPHEN MINISTRY TRAINING: Stephen Ministry equips caregivers – called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people in need. If you are interested in serving others in this way, please consider joining the Bethel Stephen Ministry team. We will be hosting a Stephen Minister training beginning this Fall on September 10 and ending on January 14th. Commissioning of new Stephen Ministers will be held on the weekend of January 16/17. We hope you will prayerfully consider joining this important ministry. We need you!
STITCHED WITH LOVE: This ministry provides an opportunity for you to make and donate crocheted or knitted items for infants and children. These can include white baby afghans (now given to infants at baptisms) or items such as layettes, booties, quilts, stuffed animals, etc. We also make a variety of handmade items throughout the year for donation to foster children through Cases of Love, infants through Life Network, winter scarves for the homeless, etc.
VARIETY DANCE: Variety Dance meets each Saturday afternoon in the Christ Center. The 2:30pm class is led by Gloria Pascua and the 4:00pm class is led by Sharon Oldfield.
WEB BIBLE STUDY: is officially off until September. We will be continuing the Mary Magdalene study we’ve been doing when we resume in the Fall.
WEST BIBLE STUDY: will enjoy its regular summer break. Our group will reconvene on September 3rd when we continue Liz Curtis Higgs’ study titled “Unveiling Mary Magdalene.”
