Bethel Blessings May 17 & 18
ALL CHURCH LUNCHEON: Everyone is welcome to enjoy lunch after church on Sunday, May 18th.
GRADUATION RECOGNITION SLIDES: If you have a student or grandchild graduating this May, we will have a slide show on the May 31/June 1 weekend honoring them. Just send a baby picture, an activity picture and a graduation picture to Bethany before May 26th.
FAMILY PROMISE/IHN: Our congregation is supporting Family Promise for two upcoming weeks by providing six total meals from May 26th through June 6th. Families will not be staying with us as in the past, but we will prepare the meals and transport them to the new Day House on N. Nevada Ave. Please stop by the Family Promise table in the Narthex this weekend.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: This summer June 9th-13th children can come discover how they can trust Jesus in a wild world. You can register online on the bethel website, www.bethellutheran.net.
CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRY: are sponsoring an All Church Bethel Night at the Vibes on Friday, June 20th at 6:30pm. Adults are $15, Kids are $10 and that includes the ticket, full buffet and parking (regular price is $30 adult/$20 kids under 18). Please RSVP with payment today or no later than Sunday, June 15th either by check or online at bethellutheran.net.
GROUPS & BIBLE STUDIES
(all group information is added the first weekend of the month, only groups with event dates coming soon are added in the following weeks)
COLLEGE STUDENT CORRESPONDENCE: is taking the summer off and will start back up in September.
CONNECTIONS GROUP: This group is targeted to singles and couples in their 60’s (plus or minus). It is a fellowship and discussion group of mutual support, laughter, food, and fun. The next time we meet is Friday, May 30th at 6:30pm.
MEN’S MINISTRY BREAKFAST: We meet once a month at 7:45am in the Christ Center. The next time we are getting together is Saturday, May 17th. Contact Pastor Dan for more information.
RUTH BIBLE STUDY: meets over the summer once a month – the second Tuesday of June, July and August. We are studying a book by Lydia Brownback – “1-2 Peter Living Hope in a Hard World”. We start meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays again in September. We would love to have you join us!
SENIOR GROUP: We meet once a month for Potluck and other activities. We get together for food, fun, and fellowship. The next time we get together is Friday, May 16th.
WEB BIBLE STUDY: is officially off until September. We will be continuing the Mary Magdalene study we’ve been doing when we resume in the Fall.
WEST BIBLE STUDY: will enjoy its regular summer break following a spring luncheon on May 21st. Our group will reconvene on September 3rd when we continue Liz Curtis Higgs’ study titled “Unveiling Mary Magdalene.”
