A place to use your gifts? A place to connect? It’s time to ENGAGE! Come and see what opportunities God has for you. Join us after the services on September 7 & 8 and explore the various small groups to find your place to ENGAGE! Get connected through Koinonia--a small group of Christians with a purpose . The purpose? Getting to know each other better by forming groups of 8 (single and/or couples) who will get together for dinner and share Christian fellowship. Each group will decide when they will meet. But the idea is to rotate homes/hosts over the period of a year. An example would be that the host would provide the main course and others would fill in with side dishes, salad, dessert or appetizer. The next month another person would host. If a host does not feel comfortable hosting a dinner, then appetizers or dessert may be shared. The main purpose is to be a caring support group and to get to know each other. Groups from Bethel will be formed within the next month. Interested? Please contact Joan Skoog. Join Bethel’s Choir: Bethel’s Adult Choir has begun their fall practices each Thursday at 6:30 PM in Bethel’s Sanctuary. We only need your help one service per month at either the 8:00 or 10:30 AM service—that is 1 hour per month watching our precious little ones. Please contact Susi Hengel if you can help. “40 Days of Prayer” Class—Pastor Dan will lead this class which follows the preaching series we will be studying in worship as we seek to develop a powerful prayer life, learn how to pray more fully, unlock the secret to answered prayer, grow closer in unity, and experience God’s blessings. This study may well be the most life-changing study you will ever attend as Randy Alcorn invites us to picture Heaven the way Scripture describes it - a bright, vibrant, and physical New Earth, free from sin, suffering, and death, and brimming with Christ’s presence, natural beauty, and the richness of human culture as God intended it. It is a book about real people with real bodies enjoying close relationships with God and each other. The next time you hear someone say, “We can’t begin to imagine what Heaven will be like,” you’ll be able to tell them, “I can.” The book Heaven by Randy Alcorn will be needed in order to study between classes and it can be purchased through Amazon.
