Bethel Night at the Vibes (formerly the Sky Sox): We hope you have signed up to attend the Rocky Mountain Vibes baseball game on Friday, June 28, along with other Bethel members. The game begins at 6:40pm at Security Field in Colorado Springs. Bethel offered adult terrace tickets for $20 (Regular price $27) and children’s tickets [ages 3—12] for $15 (Regular price $18) for the all-you-can-eat buffet in the picnic terrace area beginning at 5:40pm. Terrace tickets include a parking pass, ticket for the game, and tasty food & drink. Through June 16, you may fill out and tear off the back portion of the last page of the Bethel Blessings (pg. 7) and place it in the offering plate to indicate your desire to obtain terrace tickets through Bethel. Your tickets will be secured when your payment is made either through the offering plate or online (note “Vibes Game” please). If you desire tickets after June 16, please call the church office during office hours to check ticket availability (719-570-9800). Enjoy the game as we support our new Rocky Mountain Vibes baseball team!

Join us for an All-Church Food & Fellowship time after worship on Sunday, June 30 beginning at approximately 10:30 AM. Everyone is invited to attend & bring an item to share for the food/fellowship time on June 30th. Most of the Sundays in the summer are covered by various groups in the congregation who provide food (see below announcement), but once a month Bethel will have an “all-church” opportunity to share an item whether it be a baked good, rolls, fruit, donuts or your favorite item that you would like to share. World Class Event is Coming to Bethel! The Global Leadership Summit (GLS) will be simulcast live here to Bethel on August 8-9. This event is for anyone who wants to be a better leader of any kind! Lawn Mowing at Bethel: Bethel needs volunteers to help mow the lawn through the summer. There is a lawn mowing sign-up sheet on a clip board in the narthex. Connections Group—This group is targeted to singles and couples in their 50’s and 60’s though is not exclusive. It is a fellowship and discussion group of mutual support, laughter, food and fun. GRIEFSHARE GROUP— This group will start a new session in the fall beginning September 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Abundant Life room at Bethel. The GriefShare group is opened to anyone and everyone, members of Bethel or non-members who are experiencing grief, whether it be family, friend or acquaintance. STRETCH & STRENGTH FOR LADIES—Join Beth Nickodemus for an hour of Pilates, yoga inspired stretching, and isometrics. This group meets each Thursday in June in the Christ Center from 1:00 - 2:00 PM (not meeting July 4). It’s beginner friendly and there is no charge. Questions? Contact Beth Nickodemus.

Travel Opportunity: The Bethel travel group is planning a trip to Australia/New Zealand on Mar. 16—Apr. 3, 2020. It seems like a long way off, but since this is an international cruise open to the world, we can only promote it for a few months in 2019 and then the cruise line takes over and our group cabins are no longer available. Official brochures are available in the narthex sign up area and $1,000 deposits per person are being accepted with the registration right now. Since there has been a lot of interest in this trip, you are encouraged to sign up soon if you are interested, so as to hold a spot on the trip. The registrations are based on two to a cabin with no single cabins available, but we are happy to try our best to match people with a cabin mate. Please direct all questions to Pastor John and let him know of your interest in the trip. A signup sheet is located in the narthex sign up area. We have 3 cabins left. A single male needs a single male cabin mate, please contact Pastor John.

Bethel's Faith Builds Habitat Work Day on June 1 was postponed due to weather that caused construction delays. Bethel is RESCHEDULED for Saturday, July 6. Realizing this is a holiday weekend, we may be short on volunteers and will be most appreciative if you can help. Please contact Joan Skoog if you can help!
VDC (Via De Cristo): The next Ultreya is June 29 in Divide, CO. A BBQ is being planned, please bring a side dish or dessert to share and the rest will be provided. In August, VDC will be having a Grand Ultreya out at Laforet Conference & Retreat Center in the Black Forrest on August 24 & 25 from 9am to 12pm. The cost for the August event is $50 but if you register by July 1st, the cost will only be $40. VDC’s Weekend #44 is February 20-24, 2020 at Laforet Conference Center. During the All-Youth Service Week that took place June 10-12, Bethel’s Middle & High School students, along with a few friends, did a great job at helping Lutheran Valley Retreat in Florissant and a few Bethel members at their homes. Well done kiddos! Please take the time to thank these children and the adult leaders who worked beside them that week: Mary Jane Stanley, Doug June and Sedra. Please remember that Bethel’s High School youth will be heading once again to Idaho Servant Adventures next month: July 13-20. Prayers for the High School youth upon their upcoming trip are much appreciated.
High School Leadership Team (SALT): If you are in high school and eager to grow in your influence & leadership, consider joining Bethel’s Youth Leadership Team called SALT (Student Action Leadership Team). Several youths meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 5:00-6:15 PM for intentional leadership development time centered on Christ and His servanthood. Dinner is provided. “SEEN” - A High School Ministry: Come join our 9-12th grade girls small group that meets the last Sunday of every month for a time of fellowship and conversation about topics concerning being a Christ-like teenager in today’s culture. COLLEGE KIDS CORRESPONDENCE: CKC is Bethel’s ministry opportunity created to support our out-of-town college students. It is a weekly “card shower” and each week a name and address of our Bethel college “Student of the Week” will be provided. Simply send these Bethel family members “best wishes” or “keep up the good work” words of encouragement, add a stamp and drop it in the mail. Please let Carol Vogeney know if you would like to add your student to the list for this coming fall. CKC is on summer break until August.

Monument Bible Study— An adult Bible study meets Monday evenings at 6:30 PM during the school year in the Monument area at the home of Wayne & Theresa Guthals. L.I.F.E. Bible Study: Ladies, please join us as we study "Psalms, Prayers of the Heart". We learn how the Psalms show us how to relate to God through prayer and to respond to God in praise.
