Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service: Join Bethel on Wednesday, November 21 at 7:00 PM as we worship and give thanks for another year of life and ministry in Christ. As a part of our giving thanks, we would like to invite you to bring items for the on-going Kindness Kits Ministry for the homeless. Items needed include: snacks (granola or protein bars, beef jerky, etc.), travel-sized toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, hand sanitizer, deodorant, sunscreen, chap stick, etc.), wash cloths, combs, socks, hand warmers, hats and anything else in small sizes that would bring comfort to the homeless.
Thanksgiving Eve Pie Social: This event will be held in the Christ Center following the 7:00 pm worship service on Nov. 21. WE NEED PIES! If you would like to bring a pie to share, please have it to church that evening by 6:30 PM if possible. CARTS WILL BE IN THE NARTHEX FOR THE PIES. The pie can be homemade, or store bought. Please come and enjoy eating pie and visiting following the Nov. 21st worship service.

Second Family Ministry Volunteer Opportunities: Bethel’s expanded 2nd Family Ministry program is now up and running thanks to the great response from the congregation to support this vital ministry. There are still some remaining opportunities where additional help is needed. We need a few more drivers that could assist getting our less mobile members to church, doctors’ appointments, or other activities. We also could use a few more people for the Visitation Team that would be willing to visit some of our shut-in members. Little London Winds Christmas Concert: Get into the Christmas season spirit and join us for a fun & festive evening with the 40-member Little London Winds on Sunday, December 16, at 7:00 PM at Bethel. This concert is free and open to the public, so invite your friends and neighbors. The doors will open at 6:30 PM.
New Show in the Bethel Art Gallery: On November 19th, we are changing out the pictures in the Bethel Art Gallery. We hope you viewed and enjoyed the previous show that included work by Dennis Bruins & Eric Wulfsberg. Please take this opportunity to thank those artists for sharing their work with the Bethel community. Our new show will feature photographs by Millie Farquhar, Steve Helmreich, and Margaret Curnow. 2019 Offering Envelopes: Members who have requested annual offering envelopes for 2019 may pick up their box in the narthex area outside of the sanctuary. Specific box numbers were assigned to family units who have requested to receive offering envelopes in the past. If you would like to use numbered offering envelopes to make your regular offering to Bethel and you do not see a box with your name on it, please contact the church office at 719-570-9800 or email@example.com. Also, if you did receive an annual offering envelope box and no longer wish to because you are now using Bethel’s payment options online, please contact the church office to let us know. All unclaimed envelope boxes will be placed in corresponding member narthex mailboxes near the end of November.

CANCER SUPPORT GROUP—This group meets to share experiences, receive encouragement, pray together and impart hope. Connections Group—This group is targeted to singles and couples in their 50’s and 60’s though is not exclusive. It is a fellowship and discussion group of mutual support, laughter, food and fun. Christmas Bake Sale: Bethel’s annual Bake Sale will be held on December 15 & 16 before and after worship services. The money donated will be used for Second Family Ministry. This sale was started several years ago by Karen & Dale Kolseth. To honor Karen, and to help Second Family Ministry, please consider baking, etc. for this year’s sale. If you would like to bake some Christmas cookies, they can be brought to church by Saturday, December 15 by 10:00 AM so they can be plated with lots of other Christmas cookies. Of course, you can also bake brownies, bars, tea breads, cookies, cakes, breads, make candy, etc., which you can bring before the Saturday evening or Sunday morning worship services. Please have items on a plate or otherwise wrapped – ready to sell. We are also in need of folks to help make up the Christmas cookie plates on Saturday morning, December 15 beginning 9:30 AM and people to help sell – which is LOTS of fun! Prayer Shawl Ministry: The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Bethel has been blessed with another donation of yarn and it is greatly appreciated! The yarn is packaged and found in the narthex area (black drawers) to mix and match. Please let Cynthia Ahl know if you are interested in the Prayer Shawl Ministry to knit, crochet, or both. This group does not meet regularly but their handy-work is shared with the Bethel community and the Rocky Mt. Cancer Center. Ongoing yarn donations are always appreciated! Adult—”Believe” Series: Join this class as they discuss the key questions of what it means to be a Christian and how that applies to everyday life. Pastor John will lead this Bible study series in conjunction with the sermon series. This class will meet in the Faith Forum on the main floor just past the Gathering Space (donut area).

Confirmation Class: Confirmation Class for all youth in the 6th - 8th grade is each Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour (9:15-10:15 AM) in the Middle School room downstairs. Note: A youth in 9th grade or above can also participate in this class.
BLOC CAFÉ—A High School Ministry: Attend this group each Sunday morning where high school youths in grades 9-12 get to learn and discuss relevant topics related to their faith in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. This group meets between services in the High School room from 9:15-10:15 AM. They are currently working through the TRUE U series! Free coffee and/or drink are available.
